Are you concerned about your child's speech and language but feel you’d struggle to find time for regular weekly or bi-weekly visits?  Consultation may be the perfect solution for your busy family.

Together, we will identify what you most want to work on and set goals for your child.  When setting goals, you will be encouraged to envision what you'd like your child to achieve in 1 month, 3 months or 6 months.

Unlike weekly or bi-weekly visits, a consultation typically occurs once a month, with a minimum of one visit every 3 months for as long as you need.  This approach allows us to create a customizable plan that fits your needs and still gives you the tools to work on your speech and language

goals at home until our next visit.

Each visit begins with you providing an update on your child’s progress.  Together we will review previously discussed strategies and assigned home practice.  Depending on your child’s progress, new targets or strategies will be added to keep you moving toward success.

Consultation

If your child is struggling with speech or has recently been diagnosed with a delay and you are not sure how to help, it can be frustrating for both of you.  Finding the right support can help and individual, one-on-one visits are a perfect therapy option, especially for those children who require more intensive treatment.

Together, we will identify what you most want to work on and then set achievable goals for progress.  What would you like your child to be doing 1 month, 3 months or 6 months from now?

During each visit, you will receive everything you need to continue working on the speech and language goal at home until our next session.

We will begin each visit you providing an update on your child’s progress.  Together we will review the assigned homework and previously discussed strategies.  If appropriate, new targets or strategies will be added to keep you moving toward success.

You have the flexibility to choose how often we meet, the length of each visit and the location.  This customizable approach ensures that the plan fits your family’s needs.

Individulaized visits

Is your child over 6 years old and still struggling with speech sound errors despite years of speech therapy?  SPARK (Sound Practice & Remediation Kit) might be right for you.  Developed by Dragonfly Therapy Services, SPARK is a personalized home articulation practice program designed to equip YOU with the tools you need for successful practice at home!

This program emphasizes parental involvement, encouraging you to take on the role of "being the therapist.”  It includes a maximum of 4 monthly visits after the initial appointment.  At the end of each session, you will receive a detailed homework plan to guide you and your child through the steps of this articulation program.

By the time the program is complete, if your child hasn't yet started incorporating his new articulation skills into conversation, you will have the skills, strategies, materials and activities necessary to continue your child’s progress at home even after visits have ended.

Moving beyond persistent sound errors is a challenge, but SPARK can help!
