Why do I use Investment instead of "price" or "fees?"

Dragonfly Therapy Services' hourly rate is 160.00.
This rate is in accordance with ACSLPA and the Alberta Speech-Language Association of Private Practitioners.
Dragonfly Therapy Services offers investment options for in person therapy as follows:
60 minutes - 160.00
(50 minutes direct & 10 minutes for documentation)
40 minutes - 130.00
(30 minutes direct & 10 minutes for documentation)
30 minutes - 105.00
(20 minutes direct & 10 minutes for documentation)
Virtual services require substantially more pre and
post session preparation and are offered as:
50 minutes - 140.00
(10 minutes pre, 30 minutes direct & 10 minutes post)
Dragonfly Therapy Services offers flexible scheduling for both in person and virtual therapy
Tuesday to Thursday - 9:00 am to 8:00 pm
Dragonfly Therapy Services provides services in the environment that is most comfortable for you and your child -
Your home, a community location, my speech and language clinic or via virtual platform
Off site visits require at least 60 minutes to be effective.
Insurance Coverage
Dragonfly Therapy Services can direct bill to Alberta Blue Cross, Medavie Blue Cross,
Canada Life and Simply Benefits.
Most extended health plans provide some allowance for S-LP services but it is recommended that you check with your insurance provider before hiring a private practitioner.
Private speech therapy is also considered a tax-deductible medical expense by the Canada Revenue Agency.
A receipt for all services rendered will be provided.
