Dragonfly Therapy Services offers a very competitive rate of $130.00 per hour which is adjusted accordingly for visits less than an hour.
This rate is in accordance with ACSLPA and the Alberta Speech-Language Association of Private Practitioners.

in person and virtual therapy
60 minutes - 130.00
(50 minutes direct & 10 minutes for documentation)
45 minutes - 100.00
(35 minutes direct & 10 minutes for documentation)
30 minutes - 80.00
(20 minutes direct & 10 minutes for documentation)
Dragonfly Therapy Services offers flexible scheduling for both in person and virtual therapy
Monday to Wednesday - 6 to 8 pm
Friday - 9 to 3:30
Alternating Thursdays - 9 to 3:30
Dragonfly Therapy Services provides services in the environment that is most comfortable for you and your child -
Your home, a community location, my speech and language clinic or via virtual platform
Off site visits require at least 60 minutes to be effective.
Off site visits over 10 km will be billed at .52 cents/kilometre
With exception of using a sound test to identify sound error patterns, standardized assessments are not routinely done
at Dragonfly Therapy Services.
Everything needed to develop goals is gathered during the initial
meeting and through observation.
COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMENT & REPORT
A comprehensive assessment includes use of standardized tool(s) and typically is only required for funding purposes. It is NOT required to get started with Dragonfly Therapy Services.
A comprehensive assessment means I will discuss and explain the results, outline your possible options, provide you with contact names for other service providers, if required, and complete a report written to the standard required by Alberta Education.
Standardized assessments CANNOT be completed virtually
Dragonfly Therapy Services can direct bill to Alberta Blue Cross.
Most extended health plans provide some allowance for S-LP services but it is recommended that you check with your insurance provider before hiring a private practitioner.
Private speech therapy is also considered a tax-deductible medical expense by the Canada Revenue Agency.
A receipt for all services rendered will be provided.
